I am trying to work out what is more cost-effective individual tickets, 21-day JR rail pass based on the below details.
Tokyo to Sendai round trip Day 1 - 5
Tokyo to Osaka - Day 5 - 10.
Osaka to Hiroshima Day 10 - day 15.
Hiroshima to Tokyo Day 15 - 20.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi there,

Based on your itinerary, a 21-day JR Pass is certainly the most convenient option for seamless travel. However, if you are looking for the most cost-effective route, purchasing individual tickets actually works out slightly cheaper than the 21-day JR Pass.

If you can schedule your long-distance journeys within a two-week window, a 14-day JR Pass would offer the best overall value and significant savings.
