JR Pass to Sapporo

Hi there,

The JR Pass fully covers this route and you don't have to pay anything extra for it.

You can use the Hayabusa Shinkansen between Tokyo and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto, then ltd. express to Sapporo.

I have a request please. Could you provide me with the link of the shinkasen train (those that the national JR pass cover) time table/schedule from Tokyo to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto and from Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto to Sapporo please. From Google, I understand it takes 4 hours plus 3 hours from Tokyo to Sapporo and the trains frequency is 3 hours each. Reason I ask is I am unsure if I can reach Sapporo at night if I start late from Tokyo or if I miss one train and have to wait for the next 3 hours later.

For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.
