For this travel I think I recommend purchasing individual tickets as needed in addition to buying the Haruka + ICOCA deal on arrival at Kansai to get you to and from the airport and also cover some municipal travel in osaka and kyoto.

Yes I agree with Mari! The ICOCA deal is very good, assuming that by Osaka Airport you mean Kansai international Airport (?)

For Osaka I would also recommend buying a [Osaka Unlimited Pass] it offers great value is you plan on sightseeing a lot!
