Japan 11 days- JR Pass

Hello,

For 11 days, I will be staying in Saitama near Ageo station.. I have a few questions:

1) Can I use the JR Pass from Narita airport to AGEO Station in Saitama?

2) Can I use my JR Pass from Saitama AGEO station to Big Sight Tokyo? Or any station nearby walk in distance to Big Sight Tokyo?

3) Can I use JR Pass direct to Hakodate Hokkaido?

4) My visit to Japan is 11 days and not enough to cover the 7 day JR Pass. Is there a top- up service to cover the extra 4 days pass?
Or should I go and buy the 14 days JR pass..?
Can I get a refund and sell back the extra 3 days in the JR pass?

Hi there,

1.) Yes, it is a pretty easy trip to make too. Here is an example route.

2.) You can use it to Shin-Kiba or Osaki stations. From there you will have to use the Rinkai (non-JR) line to Odaiba.

3.) You can as of the end of March 2016. In the meantime, the Shinkansen goes to Aomori from where you use a ltd. express train to Hakodate.

4.) There is no way to change the JR Pass once you purchase it, nor can you get a refund for unused days. Therefor be sure to plan well in advance. See if you can cover the long distance travels with a 7 day JR Pass. Otherwise consider going for a 14 day JR Pass.

3) The ltd express train from Aomori to Hakodate is covered by the JR Pass. Correct?
