I arrive in Narita on July 2 but will have transportation to the city provided.
July 6th: Tokyo -Kanasawa July 7th : Kanazawa -Kyoto
July 8th: Kyoto-Nara-Kyoto
July 11th Kyoto-Naoshima
July 13Th Naoshima-Hiroshima
July 14Th Hiroshiima-Miyajima
July 15th Mijayima-Hiroshima-Hakone
July 16th Hakone-Narita

Yes, I think a 14 day JR Pass would be the most cost effective here and would cover travel between all the places you wish to visit.

You can use the JR Pass Fare Calculator to find an approximate ticket cost of a single route or even your full itinerary.
