Hey there! I have been doing some research and I am a bit confused as well as worried about getting there. The problem is, if the JR Pass covers the following routes, also, I would like to know if there is an easier way to get to Kawaguchiko Station or if this one is the best.

Our train is expected to exit Tokyo Station at 17:50 to Ogikubo, JR Chuo/Ome Line Rapid Service

Then from Okigubo Station at 18:18 to Mitaka, JR Chuo/Sobu Line Local Service

Mitaka to Takao (Tokyo) at 19:01 by JR Chuo Special Rapid Service

Otsuki to Kawaguchiko at 19:46 via Fujikyu Railway

Are all of these lines covered by the JR Pass? If not, what should I do? Are there taxis in Kawaguchiko to take to my hotel?

I will really appreciate your reply :)

Hi there,

The route is covered by the JR Pass up to Otsuki station. There you will have to purchase a ticket for the Fujikyu line to Kawaguchiko (1,140yen).

From Kawaguchiko station, I would indeed recommend using a taxi. You can always ask the station staff to call one for you if there are none in front of the station.

Lastly, I found the access page to your accommodation here. However I would also recommend asking them what to best way is to travel.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
