do i need to get a JRpass?

Hi,

Thanks for reading my post. My itinerary is as follow:

Arrival at Osaka
3 days at Osaka then
3 days at Kyoto then
3 days at Hakone then
5 days at Tokyo
Departure from Tokyo

My partner and I will be leaving Japan from Tokyo and not going back to Osaka airport so do we still need to purchase JRpass?

And also, how much is the single trips internally at Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo?
And also, how much is it to travel from Osaka to Kyoto, Kyoto to Hakone and Hakone to Tokyo?

Hi CIndy,

I checked your itinerary for the best options and would advise normal tickets. The JR Pass would have been great if you made a return Tokyo - Osaka.

Normal tickets will cost the following.

Osaka - Kyoto ¥ 560
Kyoto - Hakone ¥ 12,290
Hakone - Tokyo ¥ 3,740

Single trips within cities are somewhere between 150-300yen depending on the distance traveled.

Also sorry for the late replay, I though your previous post had been answered since it already had a replay but that was your own. Sorry about that!
