Do i need tickets as well as the pass

Hi there
I am purchasing 21 day green car pass for june/july 2015. I am planning to travel from fukuoka to sapporo and back and making a few side trips on the way. are there any trains that i need to book tickets for before boarding or do i just need to show the pass and find an unreserved seat.

Hi there,

This entire route is completely covered by the JR Pass. I would recommend making seat reservations in advance, however this is not required, as you can just hop on an unreserved seat as you like.

What is important to note is that, all Green Seats have to be reserved in advance.
