day break that we dun need the pass

Hi Jr

we are travelling to japan for 8 days. If I do not need the pass for the 4th day as to say that can i break up the pass for the first 3 days and the last 4 days before i depart ?

Hi there!

Once activated the Japan Rail Pass must be used in a contiguous block of time, so a 7 day rail pass is only valid for the 7 days from the first date of use. I'm afraid this means you will not be able to take a break in the pass in the middle between the first 3 and last 4 days.
