Can I reserve a seat?

Can I buy the pass now and reserve the tickets now for travel in early January ?

Hi there,

Tickets can only be reserved once you are in Japan. This is no problem though, as trains are rarely fully booked.

the JR Pass has to be purchased 90 days before or less using it, so wait a little if you plan to use it in January.
