Not sure whether to get JR Pass or not

Hi there! Please help me to decide whether or not I should get the JR Pass.
I will be heading to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara for 8 days and I'm not sure which JR Pass I should get and if I should even get one.
My 2 options are:
- 2 Haruka train airport transfer tickets - Rest of travel using ICOCA card or
- 4 days JR Kansai Area pass -4 days using ICOCA card -1 Haruka train airport transfer ticket (for last day when leaving Japan)

My itinerary is:
Day 1: Arrive in Osaka at night so going directly back to hotel to sleep
Day 2: Going to Wazuka (Not sure if JR Kansai area Pass can be covered here?)
Day 3-5: Around Kyoto
Day 6: Osaka
Day 7: Kyoto
Day 8: Leaving Japan (so we need a Haruka train ticket here)

Would really appreciate some advice as I am really confused and not sure what I should do! Thank you!
