Trip from Tokyo NRT to Kyoto

We will arrive to Tokyo airport 27th December and we planned to directly go to Kyoto at the end of the same day.
Is there a direct train from the airport to kyoto? if the answer is no, whisch route should me take?

Hi there,

The route would be:

Narita Express from Narita Airport -> Tokyo

Then the Shinkansen from Tokyo -> Kyoto. Full route takes about 5 hours.
