I recommend using a 7 day Japan Rail Pass for your trip, for the best value, use it from day 1 to day 7. You can use the JR Pass to travel into Tokyo, to Disneyland, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Universal Studio. All adding up to a good amount in savings.
