Hi - I'm traveling to Japan this weekend, so I need to buy a pass ASAP. However, my itinerary is 9 days - not 7 or 12. Could you please help me figure out which passes to get? I'm thinking maybe I get a 7 day pass and buy individual passes to cover the extra 2 days?
My itinerary:
6/25 - Tokyo
6/27 - Kyoto
6/30 - Osaka
7/3 - Tokyo

Hi Kim,
I would also get a 7 day JR Pass and use it for travel to Kyoto, Osaka and back to Tokyo. These are the most expensive trips and where you'd make the best savings. Then simply buy the normal tickets for the 2 remaining days in Tokyo, as local travel itself won't cost a lot.
