What is the best route to do Tokyo to Izumo, considering that I'll arrive on tokyo on 15:30, then after customs and etc, I could only get to train about 19.p.m.
I'm thinging in going to Shin-Osaka first, wait for next morning where I could get Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen and Yakumo to Izumo
But I don't know if Tokaido-Sanyo is covered.
Hi there,
You won't be able to do such a late trip to Izumo, as it is a really long route to travel. Though going to Shin-Osaka would be possible if you can get on the train by around 18.00.
The route is fully covered by the JR Pass.
