Should I buy Japan rail pass

Right now I don't have enough information to say what would match your plans best. What I can recommend is using our JR Fare calculator to get a sense of how much travel you want to do and how this stacks up against the cost of a JR Pass.

Travel between Tokyo - Takasaki is generally done on the Shinkansen and only a couple of trips here can already pay for a 7 day JR Pass.

13 Jan: Visit Aikihabara at Tokyo
14 Jan: visit Disney land and Shibuya
15 Jan: visit Asakusa
end of 15 Jan: go to Takasaki
16 Jan: Go from Takasaki to Tokyo then visit Yokohama
17 Jan: Go from Takasaki to Tokyo then visit Nikko
18 Jan: Go from Takasaki to Ishikawa
19 Jan: Go from Takasaki to Tokyo, go arround Tokyo
20 Jan: go from Takasaki to Tokyo, go arround Tokyo
21 Jan: go around Takasaki in the morning then come back to Tokyo in the afternoon
22 Jan: Fly back to Vietnam.
If I buy a JP Rail Pass, I will activate to use it from 15 Jan to 21 Jan.
Should I buy it?

Hi there,

A 7 day JR Pass would be a very good option here. One return Tokyo - Takasaki using the Shinkansen is 10,260yen, the cost of a 7 day JR Pass is 29,110yen. Making this trip 3 times will already pay for the JR Pass, just imagine how much cheaper it will be to buy a JR Pass instead of normal rail tickets.
