Hello and thank you in advance for your help! We will be staying In Kyoto for 5 nights. We will be doing a day trip to Hiroshima, and my husband wants to ride on the bullet train. We will also take day trips to Osaka and Nara. Would the bullet train be included round trip from Shin Osaka to Hiroshima? If so, can we book a reserved seat or is that a. Extra charge? Trying to decide what makes the most sense financially.

Hi there,

If you purchase a JR Pass, it covers the bullet train round trip from Osaka to Hiroshima, as well as the rest of your day trips. Seat reservations can be made at no extra cost.

Thanks so much for getting back to me. Cost wise, does it make sense to buy the 7 day JR pass? I should have been more specific that he wants to ride the Nozomi train from Kyoto to Hiroshima. Would we be better off buying all train tickets separately? Buying round trip day tickets to Hiroshima and then the day trips to Osaka and Nara. Thanks again for all of your help!
