Jr pass worth it?

Good afternoon,

We will be flying into narita, spending some time in Tokyo, taking the Shinkansen to Kyoto. We will make day trips to Osaka and Nara and then fly out of Osaka at Kansai airport.

3 adults and one child, should we buy the pass?

Hi Aimee,

For this trip it would likely be more economic to buy normal tickets as you travel.

A JR Pass would have been a good option if you'd made a return Tokyo <-> Osaka using the Shinkansen.
