This is our itinerary for a short two week trip for four persons (we would like to know if the JR pass or different Regional passes would be an interesting option) :
Asakusa station Tokyo to Mitaka to Asakusa
Asakusa station Tokyo to Nikko
Nikko to Yokohama
Yokohama to Kamakura to Yokohama
Yokohama to Hakone
Hakone to Irago
Irago to Toba (ferry)
Toba to Ise Shrine to Toba
Toba to Kyoto

I checked your itinerary for the best options to see what would work best and must conclude that it would be best to buy normal tickets as you travel. This because normal tickets are below the price of the JR Pass.

Hi,
As noted, a JR Pass would not pay off. You could look into some regional passes to save you some money though. To see Nikko, you might save some money with a Tobu Nikko Free Pass, or to go all over there is a JR Kanto Area Pass. For getting from Toba, there is a Kintetsu Rail Pass.
