Hi,
I would like to ask if buying JR pass will be worth it based on our itinerary? Thanks!

Junr 22: arrive at Osaka-kix
June 23, Sat: Nara, Gion PM. June 24, Sunday: bamboo forest in Noon, Orange Gate in PM= kyoto.
june 25, monday: kinkakuji temple-kyoto at noon, osaka imperial palace-osaka June 26, tues: universal studio

Bullet Train to Tokyo
june 27, Weds: to TOKYO. Activate JR pass
june 28, thurs: tsukiji fish market
june 29, friday: send off dad to Narita airport
june 30, saturday: hakone
july 1,sunday: nagatoro boating
july 2, mon: chiba city
july 3, tues: LAST DAY of JR- yokohoma

Hi there,

Yes, a JR Pass would be worth it for this itinerary. You do enough travel to make good savings using the pass and it will cover most of your travel.

What's really nice about the pass is that it gives you unlimited travel for the duration of the pass. That comes in handy if you want to bring your father to Narita Airport. You can use the Narita Express back and forth, without the pass this would cost about 6.000yen alone.
