We are travelling to Japan in May for 13 days and would love your advice as to whether we need the 7 or 14 day pass, or is it more economical to purchase a mix of a 7 day pass and/or individual tickets?
Our itinerary is as follows
Tokyo x 3 nights
Kyoto x 3 nights
Nara x 2 nights (with a day trip to Osaka)
Hiroshima x 2 nights
Hakone x 2 nights
Tokyo x 1 night
Domo arigato gozaimasu :-)
Hello there,
If you could do travel from Tokyo - Kyoto, Nara/Osaka, Hiroshima and at least to Hakone. Then the 7-day Japan Rail Pass would be worth it, but as I count it now, it would take 8 days total. In that case, you may be better off getting normal tickets for your trip.
