Good morning, in December I will be traveling to Tohoku, I have already purchased the Japan Rail Pass, I wanted to ask if the Resort Shirakami train will be operational in December, on which days and how to reserve a seat. Thank you

Hi there,

The resort Shirakami train should be open as usual in December, from December 1st to March 31st. Once you're in Japan, you can activate your JR Pass and from that moment on you can reserve a seat at a ticket office or ticket machine found inside JR Stations.
