Hi, does this ticket cover JR Chuo Special Rapid Service? I'm planning my itinerary now and please advice if the route below is covered.
Otsuki (JR Chuo Line) - Takao (JR Chuo Special Rapid Service) - Shinjuku
Besides, I would like to take Kaiji105 to Otsuki from Otsuki. Do I need to reserve my seat in advance? Any additional cost with this ticket?
Looking forward to a reply soon. Thanks.
Hello there,
Yes the JR Pass covers the JR Chuo Special Service, the JR kinda gives it away ;)
The Kaiji ltd. express is also covered by the JR Pass. Seat reservations are recommended but not required.
Travel from Otsuki - Kawaguchiko is not covered by the JR Pass and requires an additional ticket, 1,140yen for a normal service.
Hope this helps,.
Daniel
Hi Daniel, thanks for you reply. I'm referring the "Mt. Fuji Round Ticket" launched by JR from July till November. Please advise. Thanks.
