Good evening. We are arrving at the Hanida Airport in early October from USA and are staying at the Hotel Sunroute Higashi Shinjuku in Tokyo. Our flight arrives very late-- at 11:00 p.m. We have purchased a 21 day JR pass and want to use it, if possible, to get to our hotel. Can you please suggest a route-- either train or airport transfer that will get us safely to our hotel late at night? Thank you for your help.

Hi there!
Arriving late at Haneda Airport is always a little difficult. The last train connection to Shinjuk leaves at 0.10 am from Haneda Airport. Arrival procedures at Haneda are pretty speedy so you should be able to catch the train (and monorail) on time. The JR Office will be closed by 11 p.m. so you won't be able to use your JR Pass for this travel, I would recommend activating your JR Pass the following morning at Shinjuku station.
Alternatively taxi's run all night but will run above 5,000 yen at the very least. You could consider one if you travel with multiple persons.
