I am from India, kolkata.
Will be yin Japan from 15th may to 29th may. Will fix my itinerary and then take your advise.
But wanted to know about 7 day Japan Rail Pass. How does it work? If I activate it on say 16th morning 7 am , then will it expire on 22nd morning 7 am or will it expire on 22nd night 12pm.

Hi there,
The Pass is counted in full days and the first day is counted as a full day no matter what time you start using it. The pass is than valid until the 7th day up to midnight. For instance, activating the JR Pass on a Monday will mean that the last day is the following Sunday.
In your case, the JR Pass it would be valid until the 22nd 23:59 (midnight).
