Should we get the 21 day pass?

Hello,
We plan to travel in Japan center during 3 weeks.

28/04: Narita airport to Nakatsugawa
30/04: Nakatsugawa to Kakegawa, Shizuoka
When staying in Shizuoka we will take local trains to go to Hamamatsu, Shizuoka and other towns around for sight seeing.
05/05: Kakegawa to Kyoto
09/05: Kyoto to Tokyo
13/05: Tokyo to Minakami (takaragawa onsen osentaku)
16/05: Back to Tokyo
18/05: Tokyo to Narita airport

Do you think we should buy the train tickets separately or take the 3 week pass?

Here is a little cost breakdown without the JR Pass

Narita --> Nakatsugawa ¥ 14,130
Nakatsugawa --> Kakegawa ¥ 7,320
Kakegawa --> Kyoto ¥ 6,810
Kyoto --> Tokyo ¥ 13,220
Tokyo --> Minakami ¥ 5,850
Minakami --> Tokyo ¥ 5,850
Tokyo --> Narita Airport ¥ 2,940

This adds up to ¥ 56,120.

The 21-day JR Pass is ¥ 57,700 this means you are short by just ¥ 1,580. You will easily be able to make up this amount with day trips in the Shizuoka region. Also the freedom to take any train you want for 21 days is just amazing.

I'm ordering now the 21 day passes :-)
I have friends in Kakegawa so we are staying there for a few days and taking the occasion to visit Fuji san as well.
I'm so excited to come back to Japan after so many years!
