Never been to Japan, will be flying to Osaka via Osaka International and flying out via kansai international.
Below is my plan itinerary. Any advice.
Total 14 days.
first 7 days getting 3 Hankyu Tourist Pass [*2day 1,200yen]
and between Takayama and Osaka, intend to get 7 day JR Railpass
Osaka 3day
Kyoto 4day
Takayama 2day
Himeji 1day
Hiroshima 3day
Osaka 1day

Using the JR Pass for Kyoto - Takayama - Himeji - Hiroshima - Osaka will work very well and you'll make great savings.
Doing Takayama - Hiroshima in one go is a bit long so it's a great idea to make a stop over at Himeji.
Is there any particular part you would like feedback on, as it all looks good to me!

No a 7 day JR Pass would be best, start using it when you travel to Takayama and return to Osaka on the last day.
