We are travelling to Japan in the summer (jul/aug) and we are visiting mt Fuji for a few days from Tokyo.
We are headed to Kyoto after and I was just wondering what the best option is to get from Kawaguchiko station to Kyoto. We will have the Japan Rail Pass activated by then as well use it on part of your journey to Kawaguchiko.

We have some information on access to Kawaguchiko here.
Basically there is no easy way to travel to Kawaguchiko from Kyoto, but if you do want to do it, then you could use the Shinkansen & JR Pass to Mishima station, then use an express bus from there. The bus is however not included.
