night train Hamanasu

Hi there!

Here is an itinerary for the Hamanasu Aomori to Sapporo sleeper. Both nobi nobi and reserved seats are free if you have a JR Pass, but you must book them well in advance. If you want to use a sleeping compartment you'll need to pay an extra ¥8,000pp - note that there is only shared berths available on the Hamanasu, with no private rooms available.

There are no shower facilities on the train, but there are many Sento (spa houses) available in Sapporo for you to shower/bath after your trip. Here's a blog post with more.
