Hi there,
just a small question regarding tickets for Narita Express. I understand that you have to reserve your seat. Is there an additional fee for it or is it included in the prices shown on JR East web site (there is a different price on your web site as well so I'm a bit confused). Considering we know when we're coming back to the airport, can we purchase a return ticket instead of one-way and if so, would the price be with a discount or just a sum of two tickets.
Will be grateful for any response.

HI there,

Normally rather than recommending the standard ticket fare, I recommend the combined fare of the [Narita Express + Suica package] which comes in at a discounted price of ¥5,500 to all destinations and also includes a ¥1500 value SUICA prepaid travel card for further use on JR and Metro lines in Tokyo.

The standard charge for the Narita Express varies according to final destination, but for reference, a standard return to Tokyo station will cost ¥5880.

The prices for both the offer above and standard tickets includes the reserved seat fare. If you have a link to a search you have made that shows other prices I'll be happy to advise.

Note that the Narita Express + Suica deal must be used within a 2 week period. If you're planning on travelling in Japan for longer than this, I recommend you look into the Keisei Skyliner + 2 day metro card deal which is valid for 6 months.
