We are a family of 4. We will be flying in to Narita and want to go directly to Kyoto. We will want to take the train back to Tokyo from Kyoto and also take a day trip from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji. Should we buy a JR Pass or separate tickets?

Hi there,

A 7 day Japan Rail Pass would work well here. Given that you return to Tokyo by day 7, the pass would give you good savings and cover travel between all the cities you plan to visit.
