I will be arriving Hanada Airport with my JR voucher October 23. I want to exchange the voucher at the airport for the JR pass and start activation for October 25. Can I make a seat reservation after receiving the pass on the October 23 before it becomes activated on the 25?

Hi there,

Yes, you can exchange your pass and set an activation date for the 25th, meaning that you can begin making seat reservations from this but your pass' period of validity will begin on the 25th.
