I just booked my pass but I leave the US on Saturday. The pass information notes a "delivery" but do I need a physical pass or can I activate using my confirmation number at a JR kiosk?

Hi there,
You can simply take your exchange order voucher received by mail to one of the exchange offices in Japan.
