Konnichiwa Daniel-San,
I will arrive on the 5th of December to Tokyo and want to activate my pass on the 7/12. I was thinking of ordering from your website directly next week (14/09) to benefit from the current price. Firstly is it a good idea?
2. I read on a forum that to purchase a JR pass at the current price to use in December, we would need to purchase from a travel agent ( e.g. KlooK) so that we get 90 day window to swap. Is it true? We were also told that purchasing directly through JR for use in December would already be at the new higher price on your website.

Hi there,

1.) Yes, that's of course assuming you'll do enough travel to make savings with the pass.

2.) The 30-day window only applies to JRP-net reservations website. Through JR Pass.com we offer a 3-month order window.

Hi again
I’m sorry but your answer is not clear to me. JR pass.com doesn’t offer any availability for me to book for December.

I want to avoid the price increase and the day that I will activate and use my pass is on 07/12.
That’s why a travel agent asked me to purchase from Klook and that I will have three months to use my pass. But I wanted to know if the info is accurate since the website JR pass doesn’t allow me to book for December.
I appreciate your advice.
