Does the cost of the pass include travel on the Tokyo and Kyoto metros?

Hello Harvey Curtis,

The JR Pass does not cover the metro/subway systems. However you can use the JR Network in Tokyo and for a limit extent in Kyoto. In Tokyo most places can be visited using the JR.
