My issue date is 29th July, but while entering ticket data, there was information, that the date haven't to be exact. I'll be in Japan 3 days earlier, can I activate ticket before issue date?
Please help, as that's not clear.

Hi there,
Yes! You can activate the JR Pass anytime up to 3 months from the date of purchase.
We ask for an approximate starting date during our checkout process to ensure you will use your rail pass within this 3 month window - it is a guide for us and is not marked on any rail pass we issue.
