Haneda airport to Kyoto and back to Tokyo

We will arrive Haneda airport at 1 pm and plan to get to Kyoto using the Shinkansen directly. We'll stay one night and join a tour in Kyoto and then take Shinkasen back to Tokyo next day. We will then stay in Tokyo for 3 nights and visit Tokyo on our own. How much saving can we get with the 7-day JR pass and is it worth it to buy the pass? Thanks

Hi there,

The price of the 7 day JR Pass is almost the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto. However you do get 7 days of unlimited travel for this price. So it's easy to make savings with it if you cover a bit more travel with it.

For instance travel to Haneda airport, within Tokyo on the JR and you could use it for day trips outside of Tokyo.
