I am traveling from Tokyo to hakone, then Hakone to Kyoto, with side trips from Kyoto to Osaka and Hiroshima. Is the jr pass good for all these?do I need to purchase any supplements? All trips will be with 7 days.

Hi there,

The JR Pass is perfect for your itinerary, but you'd have to purchase a supplementary train ticket between Odawara and Hakone. If you're interested, there is the Hakone FreePass which covers the return trip to and from Hakone to Odawara as well as the local transport options in Hakone, such as the lake ferry, buses and local sightseeing trains. We don't offer this on our site as it covers privately owned transport.
