family passes

Hi there're we will be travelling to japan in september,we are a family of 5.my self my husband and 3 children.oldest is 1 3 and then a 9 year old and 7 year old.my question is do the rail passes for the JR line have a family pack or do we have to purchase each one individually .we are looking into a 7 day pass.Would appreciate any advice thank you .
