Do the JR Rail Pass have time stamp?

When we exchange for the JR Rail Pass, does it start from the time and date or just the date only.

Hi there,

Japan rail pass validity is measured in days. So activating your pass at 9am on a given day is the same as activating your pass at 9pm. I reccomend you start your validity as early in the day as possible to get maximum value.
