I have booked Ibis Budget Styles Osaka Umeda so from shin-osaka to umeda can i use JR Pass
also to reach universal studio

Hi there,

Absolutely! The JR Pass will get you to both these.

Good to know is that the area around Osaka station is called Umeda. You could basically read these as synonyms.
