8 days in Japan

Hi,
I will be in Japan this Apr in 8 days.
Please help to advise how i could use the Rail Pass 7days effectively.
Should i activate the pass on the first day or the second day in Japan because the pass is only valid for 7days?

11/04 Narita---->Tokyo 2days
13/04 Tokyo---->Kyoto 3days (try to make a trip Kyoto-Osaka-Kyoto during these days to exploit the pass)
16/04 Kyoto---->Tokyo 2days
18/04 Tokyo----->Narita Airport
