My wife and I are planning a 3o days visit to Japan. May I purchase two 21 passes and as well as two 7 day passes for the two us to cover the 30 days in Japan?

Yes, you can still do this ! Bear in mind that if you are spending an extended period of time in one city it may not be likely that it would be a cost-effective option for that stretch of time.
