I am wanting to purchase different regional passes. I started this and added 4 different passes to my cart. The cart stated 4 passengers. My question is do I have to purchase each regional pass separately to activate them on different dates or can the 4 regional passes be on the same order but activate on different days

When you say different days do you mean I can activate my Kansai/Hiroshima pass in Osaka on the 2/3 then travel to Hiroshima and Activate any other card for a different date or do I have to nominate all the pass dates in Osaka?
Second question, I am trying to plan my itinerary and am a bit frustrated that there are no detailed maps of the jail and bus etc to navigate and book potential accommodation. I know we receive a booklet but is there any over additional information I can use?

Hi there,
You have the option to do either, depending on what suits you. If you want, you can exchange all of your passes at the same station (provided they can all be exchanged in Osaka) and have them set to activate at different dates, or can exchange them individually at different stations on different days.
JR train map can be found here, but in terms of buses it'll be specific to the city/area you are in.
