Best Ticket for Itinerary

Hi there,
We are travelling to Japan from Australia with the following itinerary. We are two adults and a 12 year old.

We arrive in Osaka on Dec 31 for 4 nights.

We then travel to Nozawa Onsen for 7 nights.

We then travel back to Kyoto for 7 nights before flying out of Osaka.

What regional pass is best or is it better to buy individual tickets?

Hi Paul,

There's no (regional) pass here that would help you make savings. Especially since you are flying out of Osaka, where most passes assume a return to be profitable.

With that in mind, I suggest buying individual tickets.

Thanks for this. Just to be clear, we fly in and out of Osaka. In on the 31st Dec, out on the 18th Jan.
