Which Pass to Purchase

Hi

We are a family of 6 travelling for the first time to Japan in November. Can you please advise which
Pass/passes to purchase for our 12 day trip.

Day1 Arrive at Kansai Airport at 9pm and stay overnight in an airport hotel
Day2 Kyoto
Day3 Kyoto - Arashimaya
Day4 Kyoto
Day5 Kyoto
Day6 Kanazawa to Shirikawago
Day7 Osaka
Day8 Osaka
Day9 Day trip to Nara
Day10 USJ
Day 11 Osaka
Day12 Return to Kansai Airport
Would the 7 day Kansai Hokiruku Pass activated on Day 6 be suitable or a 7 Day JR Pass?
Also, is there another pass that can best cover Kansai Airport to Kyoto and our transportation while iin Kyoto?

Hi there,

I think your best option is to look at a Kansai Hokuriku Pass. You don't do a enough travel for a JR Pass to help you make savings.

Local travel around Kyoto is not expensive and generally buying day tickets for the bus of metro is a good idea.

For arrival at Kansai Airport, I recommend a Haruka + ICOCA package:
