hi traveling in March 2019 to Japan.
would the JR pass be useful with this itinerary.
Tokyo 3 days
Hiroshima 1 day
Kyoto 2 days
fly back from Osaka
can we visit Hakone in between those areas?

Hi there,
Yes, a 7 day Japan Rail Pass would be very cost efficient on this route.
You could also make a stop over at Hakone if you'd like, the Shinkansen station for Hakone is called Odawara. Making a stop here would allow you to easily access he Hakone Area. Note that the JR Pass covers travel to Hakone but not within the Hakone area.
