  1. Is it worth getting the 7 -Day Pass for this itinerary? As I will be travelling in early April, would it be advisable to get the Green Pass?

  2. If my itinerary is only Osaka - Kyoto - Kanazawa - Osaka, would it be worthwhile to get the Japan Rail Pass?

Hi Mei,

1.) I don't think it is absolutely unnecessary but more people will be traveling around because of the free days and Cherry Blossom, however it is well worth it if you want to be sure of seating on specific trains and extra comfort.

2.) It will be better to buy single tickets if your only long distance travel is to Kanazawa, a one way ticket is about 6700Yen for a normal seat. However the pass would be well worth it if you planned a side trip of days in Tokyo for instance.
