Coming to Japan for the RWC in October with the following itinerary

October 18 - Land in Kansai Int Airport - overnight in Kokura
October 19 - Oita - overnight in Kokura
October 20 - Oita - overnight in Kokura
October 21 - Kokura to Hiroshima - overnight in Osaka
October 22 - Osaka - overnight in Osaka
October 23 - Kyoto - overnight in Kyoto
October 24 - Kyoto to Tokyo - overnight in Tokyo
October 25 - Tokyo
October 26 - Tokyo
October 27 - Tokyo
October 28 - Tokyo to Kansai Int Airport

What is best - a 7 day pass and a direct ticket/flight back to Kansai or a 14 days pass to use in Tokyo
Thanks for any help and also suggestions on where to visit outside of Tokyo on 27th October if we use a 14 day pass

Hi there,

Looking at the price, there's not much difference between Buying a 7 day JR Pass + ticket from Tokyo -> Kansai Airport or a 14 day JR Pass. Personally, I'd opt for the latter, as you can use it for travel on local JR lines around Tokyo as well and perhaps add a day trip.

As flight ticket prices depend on many factors can change daily, it is not possible for me to make a direct comparison.
