Hi
A family of four will travel for 17 days in May/June
What is the best pass to buy?

Day 1 arrive in Kansai airport
2 persons will go to Kyoto and 2 persons to Nagoya.
The 2 persons will go same day from Nagoya to Kyoto
day 2-3 stay in Kyoto
Day 4 to Osaka
Day 4- 8 travel inside Osaka and to interesting places around Osaka but within Kansai area
Day 8 to Hiroshima
day 9 to Miyjamaguchi
day 10 to Kamakura
Day 12 to Tokyo
day 12-17 in Tokyo
Day 17 to Haneda airport

I'd pay some money for easy to use.
How do I order and pick up the passes or tickets?

Hi Audna,

I think the best option would be to use a 14 day JR Pass from day 1- 14 for the 2 persons who go to Nagoya and then to Kyoto.

Then use 2 7-day JR Pass from Day 4 - Day 10 for the persons who will not go to Nagoya.

Thank you for your answer. Will the JR pass cover travel in Kyoto like a Icoca card?

Hi Audna,

The JR Pass will cover the JR lines only in Kyoto.

ICOCA is only an electronic way of payment btw
